Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, and has Craig David Dowsett and Chris Cordell starring as Pooh and Piglet respectively. The supporting cast includes Amber Doig-Thorne, Danielle Scott, and Maria Taylor. In an interview with Variety, Frake-Waterfield said that they haven’t decided on a release date yet. However, due to all the press the movie is getting, they will begin work on editing and get past post-production as fast as they could, while making sure to retain the movie’s quality.

The trailer for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is as nutty as we had hoped. We see Christopher Robin and his girlfriend heading into the Hundred Acre Woods where he used to play with Pooh and Piglet as a child. But to his horror, he finds out that his friends are now feral beasts focused on brutally murdering those that abandoned them. The director gave a premise ofWh the movie, saying that Christopher basically left them to fend for themselves, without giving them any food. This caused them to become feral animals, and are no longer tame.

While Winnie the Pooh and Piglet have become public domain, the rights for Tigger and the others are still under copyright. However, the makers sneaked in Eeyore, with an “Eeyore RIP” tombstone. Check out the trailer below.
