Why didn’t Black Widow get a farewell in MCU’s Endgame? Its because she is coming back! Checkout what happened!!

After the end of the movie End Game, the storyline of Black Widow confused the fans. The MCU fans have only one question on their mind- Why didn’t Black Widow receive a proper funeral? Tony Stark, who played the role of Iron Man, got an emotionally moving goodbye where all the Avengers were present. But Black Widow? Nothing.

Both Iron Man and Black Widow sacrificed their lives in the fight against Thanos so that the other Avengers would win. While Iron Man received such a respected funeral, Natasha Romanoff got absolutely nothing. And people criticised the movie to some extent because of that. That brings us to the question- Is she really dead? Well, reports say Black Widow may return.

Co-director Joe Russo revealed that Iron Man received a beautiful sendoff and Black Widow didn’t because she is returning. Yes, Scarlett Johansson will come back in a Black Widow standalone movie. Russo said they can also show limited stuff in a movie. Since Tony Stark is not coming back, they brought him closure. They did not do that for Natasha because her character will get another opportunity for that.

We do not know yet how Marvel will resurrect this epic character. But at San Diego’s Comic-Con 2019, the Marvel team made a few announcements about Phase 4 of Marvel Cinematic Universe. They revealed that the Black Widow will be the first movie where Scarlett Johansson will act as the lead actor. During a presentation at Marvel’s SDCC 2019, the team confirmed the release date for the movie. So the fans do not have to give in to their rising anxiety levels regarding the Black Widow standalone movie.

The film will reportedly release on May 1, 2020. Johansson revealed in an interview that she feels the revelation has lifted a huge weight off her shoulders.  Of course! Who would want to keep a secret that big for so long? The production for Black Widow is currently going on in London. Cate Shortland is directing the movie and actors like Rachel Weisz, David Harbour and Florence Pugh will star in it.
