Netflix now is going to put human faces to the debate on immigration with this documentary series titled “Living Undocumented.”
“Living Undocumented” is all set to be released on 2nd October, and this documentary series has Selena Gomez as one of the three Executive producers.
The series follows eight families who have agreed to film their lives by the film crew as they kept facing the potential threat of deportation. The story of these eight families covers everything from harrowing to hopeful as the families tend to illuminate and humanize the hardening U. S. immigration system as the eight families continue their effort to pursue their American dream.
Selena Gomez in an interview said that she mainly chose to executive produce this series, “Living Undocumented” because she felt that over the past years the word “immigrant” has been turning into a negative word and has somehow become a taboo. Selena Gomez then went on to add that she hopes that this series will shed light on what it is like to live in America as an immigrant who is not documented and appreciates the courageous people who have chosen to share their side of the story.
