The Blacklist is originally owned by NBC but it also premiers on Netflix now. First season of the series got up the television in 2013. And probably after FRIENDS and a few other shows, it is the oldest running show on Netflix. By now the show has successfully completed seven seasons with a total of 143 episodes. The Blacklist season 7 came in 2019 and thus, fans are expecting season eight to premier this year.

The American web series was actually shot in New York. Till now all the seasons have got wonderful reviews, TV.com gave it 8.7 out of 10 whereas, IMDb gave it a huge score of 8 out of 10 which is quite difficult to gain.
The story revolves around a fugitive man who ultimately goes to the police and surrenders. In addition, he also promises them to help in catching other criminals. However, this offer came with a condition that he’ll be doing it only in company of the new FBI Elizabeth Keen. However, as the story moves forward there gets a lot of turns and in season 7 it completely changes. Season seven show Katarina Rostova kidnapping Reddington by drugging him. So it’s quite unpredictable to say what The Blacklist season 8 will come up with, but whatever it is, it’s sure to be interesting.

Moving forward to the release date, as with many other upcoming shows, even this hasn’t got an official announcement. However, if the previous patterns are considered, we can expect it to be there in October 2020.

Now now heading towards the cast members, Alan Alda, Amir Arison, James Spader, Meghan Boone, Harry Lennix and all other important ones are expected to be back. And there may be some new entries but again, no confirmation about it has been made yet.
