After a decade long wait, fans need to wait just for a few more days to watch the sequel of Zombieland. The sequel Zombieland: Double Tap is all set to hit the theatres this week on Friday, 18th October. The first part, that is, Zombieland came in the year 2009.
Before its final release, Zombieland: Double Tap had its premiere last Thursday in Los Angeles. Those lucky ones who had the chance to watch the movie beforehand, have a very positive response for the movie. They claimed that Zombieland: Double Tap is actually worth a wait of ten years.
Among the original cast members, whom we saw in the first part of Zombieland, are, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone. There is also going to be a group of new cast members who will add new characters to the movie. The new ones are Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Zoey Deutch (Flower), Rosario Dawson (Jane the Virgin) and Luke Wilson (Old School).
Eisenberg has confirmed that the movie will pick up ten years later with the characters trying to make a home in the abandoned White House. Explaining the delay of the sequel, Eisenberg said, “It took ten years to make because we were just insistent that the script is great — which sounds like it should be obvious, but that’s not always the case.”
Now that the release date of Zombieland: Double Tap is by and by nearing, it is getting more difficult for the fans to contain their excitement. Those who watched the premiere say that the movie is comical and picks right from where it left off in Zombieland in 2009.
