Washington, DC is not only enjoying its summertime but is also gearing up to mark the holidays extending from the Memorial Day to Labor Day. Barbecue, summer holiday parades, fireworks, and a lot more are up on the list as the citizens are all prepared for celebrating the festivals. In the United States of America, a public holiday marks the celebration of Labour Day. This is celebrated on the first Monday of September. The day marks the ‘American labor movement’ and contributions of the workers towards the development, growth, endurance, productivity, sustainability, security, strength, and persistence of the country. The holiday is accepted as a federal holiday. Labor Day was declared by the Central Labor Union and the Knights of labor in honor of the workers all over the state. It is the first parade that was organized in New York City in the year 1887.Here are some of the ways to celebrate and enjoy the Labor Day Weekend at Washington DC:

All the music lovers, this one is especially for you. Visit the annual Labor Day Capitol Concert organized at West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The concert will take place on September 1st at 8 p.m. The gates for the same will be opened at 3 p.m.

A guide will escort you to enriching your knowledge about the country’s past days. The state has a wide range of food items to offer to the natives and the tourists.
