What is Tom Clancy about?

The Buzz Paper

Author Tom Clancy created the character of Jack Ryan for his 1984 novel The Hunt for Red October. There have been twenty-eight novels featuring Jack Ryan most of which are written by Clancy. Over the years Jack Ryan has been played in movies five times, by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, Chris Pine, and now John Krasinski. Krasinski has the record for the longest role of Jack Ryan ever played by anyone in any multimedia, be it a movie or TV series.

In the first two seasons of Jack Ryan, we saw threats emerging from Islamic extremists and corrupt election practices in Venezuela respectively. For season three what can we expect to be the next political situation or threat? Taking from twenty-eight novels, certainly a lot.
