Whitney Cummings, the famous comedian, came up with the fact of her being blackmailed by social media users through tweets. The users obtained a screenshot from one of her previous Instagram story in which she accidentally showed her nipple.
2)They all must think I’m way more famous than I am, but they also must think I’m way more easily intimidated than I am. If anyone is gonna make money or likes off my nipple, it’s gonna be me. So here it all is, you foolish dorks. pic.twitter.com/cet4YEXVyG

To take control of the situation, she deleted the story immediately after posting it, but the users were fast enough to screengrab it. She was threatened by them that they would release her picture on social media and blackmailed her. They demanded money from her to stop them from posting her picture. However, instead of paying them the way they wanted to be paid, she opted to share her picture herself and took control of the situation. This decision of hers prompted several fans and comedians to share their embarrassing picture in her support. Moreover, she started a trend “IStandWithWhitney.”
The thread of tweets began to narrate the story on Monday posted by Cumming. She explained what had happened herself; she told that she had accidentally posted a story of herself showing her nipple and had deleted it the moment she realized the flaw in it. However, the users were too quick and took a screenshot of the same and tried to get money from her. Some even told her that they have offered to sell them and threatened her. She observed the situation and continued with attaching her topless photo stating that if there is anyone who can make money from her nudes is herself only and not anyone else. Along with her picture, she attached the screenshot of messages that she had received.
She powerfully exclaimed that whenever there is extortion of women in the public eye, the results are not very much in favor of her and that they can have her nipple but not her time and money.
