“The Witcher” Season 2 gets a full-length official trailer

On October 29 Netflix dropped the full-length official trailer for the much-awaited season 2 of the fantasy series “The Witcher.” The two-and-a-half-minute video gives us a glimpse of what to expect from the show’s impending season.
“The Witcher” season 2 trailer unveils new troubles awaiting Geralt
The upcoming season of the fantasy show starring Henry Cavill and Freya Allan might be darker and deadlier than its previous chapter. The trailer reveals the new challenges that foresee the age-old monster hunter, Geralt of Rivia. Picking up straight from the end of season 1, season two features the “end of days” and an impending war among humans, demons, kings, and elves.
With a raging war over the continent, Geralt must protect Princess Cirilla ( Freya Allan), whom he brings to his childhood home and the training ground of Witchers to discover her mysterious powers. Further, the trailer bestows a peek at the deadly villains Geralt should fight against. Moreover, the video teases the return of Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer and Joey Batey’s Jaskier. However, Geralt doesn’t seem to be concerned either about the prospective “end of days.” He states that he has lived through three supposed end of days and it’s all horseshit.
Season 2 of the fantasy drama series is slated to premiere on December 17 on Netflix.
“The Witcher” Universe continues to expand!
The Witcher is a fantasy show is inspired by the book series of Andrzej Sapkowski. While the series got renewed for a third season ahead of the release of season 2, it doesn’t end there. A prequel show titled “The Witcher: Blood Origin” is in the works at Netflix and will reportedly be set 1200 years before The Witcher season 1.
