George Clooney’s “The Tender Bar” is a variation of J.R. Moehringer’s memoir of the same name. It features J.R. Moehringer telling his coming-of-age events at a bar.
The Tender Bar narrates the story of a young boy (Sheridan) whose father disappeared soon after his birth. The boy grows up in the light of a bar and seeks a surrogate for his father among the patrons of his uncle’s bar. Eventually, he bonds with the bartender, his uncle Charlie (Affleck), who proves to be a loving fatherly figure. Ultimately, J.R proceeds to pursue his dreams as his mother strives to make a better life for her son and a chaotic family from the Long Island.
The Tender Bar: Cast
It is already known that George Clooney directs the drama. Well, he has definitely put together a powerful cast for the film. While Ben Affleck appears in the role of the young boy’s uncle, Tye Sheridan (“Ready Player One”) will play Moehringer. Christopher Lloyd and Lily Rabe have also joined the film.
