According to reports, Vernon Sanders who is the head of Global television from Amazon Studios also commented about the news. He said that “Since its premiere, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has been bringing audiences together to experience the magic and wonder of J.R.R. Tolkien’s magnificent Middle-earth.”

He further tells that the season one which is the top original series for Prime Video in every region, has been viewed by over 100 million people worldwide. It is a truly global hit which is said to be a ‘powerful storytelling’ that speaks to the universal nature.

With high hopes he said that he is looking forward to telling more second age stories. He shares the warm welcome to the wonderful actor who are being casted for the ‘fellowship’ for the season 2.

New Faces in Season 2

The newly elected cast member includes Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, and Nicholas Woodeson. Apart from that, the role of Orc leader “Adar” has also been recasted for the season 2, and the new person who will play the role is Sam Hazeldine.

The Rings of Power is based on JRR Tolkien’s The Lords of the Rings novels and is also named after the famous novel. The series is about the heroic legends from the second age of middle earth’s history. It will be quite fun watch as was when read by the readers. After the great success of the first season, the second season is also expected to be a package of adventure and fun.
