The return of iCarly: Everything we know so far about the hit Nickelodeon show

It’s been eight years, so can we expect to see the cast together again?

iCarly has been one of the biggest hits from popular kids’ channel Nickelodeon. There are many young adults who had grown up with Carly, Sam, Freddie, and Gabby and Spencer who were constantly busy pulling pranks on each other and hosting their in-show web series, all the while going to school as well. The show had some classic love triangles and “whoa” moments that garnered a lot of fans, and they weren’t ready to say goodbye to the show yet.

But now, rumours are swirling that the show is set to return and we will be getting more iCarly episodes. Can Nickelodeon make it happen?

Is it true?

Variety has reported that a revival is indeed in the world for Paramount Plus, which is Paramount Pictures’ upcoming streaming service that will launch sometime in 2021. It’s looking to turn CBS into a bigger streamer now that they have signed a new merger with Viacom. The original series is currently available for streaming on CBS All Access along with other nostalgic Nickelodeon shows.

On the characters’ return, Variety reported that Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress will be returning to portray their characters Carly Shay, Spencer Shay, and Freddie Gibbs. We haven’t heard word about the other cast members returning but hopefully they will.

As for the show’s premiere, that’s still unknown as they are pretty much in the early process. Also, we have no news about when Paramount Plus will be open for streaming, so the show is most likely to arrive when it’s alive and kicking. Any new updates regarding the revival will be shared.
