The popular Sci-fi film to develop into a series
“Real Steel” is an adaptation of the movie of the same name that was released back in 2011. So the movie was also based on the story Steel written by Richard Matheson.
A series for “Real Steel” is in work and is confirmed to be in development for Disney+. The movie follows a world where huge robots replaced human boxers from the sport. Hugh Jackman was starred as a former boxer where he with his son made a champion out of an old robot that they found in a junkyard.
Nothing comes in clear details as no words or details are out by any writers. Shawn Levy, the director of the movie “Real Steel” will be the executive producer. Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke of Compari Entertainment are also in news to be executive produce along with Jacqueline Levine, Susan Montford, and Don Murphy of Angry Films, for the series produced by 20th Television.
Although the original movie “Real Steel” received criticism of all kinds, still the movie earned $300 million worldwide and build a cult following while receiving an Academy Award nomination for best visual effects.
Casting for the series
Not sure about the same cast will be joining back the team with the series adapted from the original movie. This will include Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie, Olga Fonda, Karl Yune, and several more. It is the utmost priority for the Disney brand to bring the existing news of the series under the media as a new streaming series. However, many successful series and movies have been released on Disney like “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers,”. Still, some fans wonder what would the storyline comes out in the series.
