An horrific incident took place on Saturday in the morning hours, shocking the entire community. A young woman in her 30s was brutally stabbed while her 6-year-old child was sleeping at home.
How the incident happened?
The incident took place at around 4:25 am on Saturday in Arklow, Ireland. Nadine Lott the victim was returning home to her apartment at St Mary’s Court when the attack took place. She is 30 years old and mother of a 6 years old child. The attacker is from Dublin and was already waiting for her at the apartment. When she returned home an argument broke between her and the attacker due to which she was badly beaten and stabbed multiple times.
After hearing the ruckus the neighbor and the child came out. The young child ran into the neighbor’s arm who took the child into safety away from the danger. The victim was immediately rushed into St. Vincent’s Hospital for emergency treatment. The attacker deserted the scene after the alarm was raised in a Volvo car, but later on, he crashed in the Laragh area.
Reactions in the community
After the attacker crashed the vehicle, he was taken to Tallaght Hospital. Later on, he was arrested and held at Wicklow Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. This incident left the community in a state of shock as she was known to be a person of beautiful nature. The local Fianna Fail councilor, Tommy Annesley stated that it is a very awful incident as she is from a well respected Arklow family and is very active in the whole community.
The locals also stated that she is a very lovely and nice person. The people are very angry and disgusted at the incident that took place. The Health Minister also described the incident as horrific while praying for her recovery. Her friend’s and other people are also praying for her quick recovery.
