The Last of Us 2: A New Release Date for the Game due to COVID-19

The Last of Us 2 has a been given a new release date. Initially set to release on May 29th, now it’s set to release on June 19, 2020. The delay was caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that forced developers to put their work on hold and do projects at home.

The news comes from a wave of speculations regarding the new The Last of Us 2. These speculations that hit the internet include major gameplay, cut-scenes, level lists, and seemingly the entire plot.

The latest version of the game is a sequel to 2013’s The Last of Us. It will focus on Ellie, who is now older, tougher and just as agile as her former protector Joel.

Joel hasn’t been seen yet, but it is know that he’s still around, as the latest E3 gameplay demo makes a reference to Ellie’s “old man.” However, that does not name Joel explicitly, so there is a probability that his presence will be a psychological one and not a physical one. Naughty Dog is known for misleading its audience before its games release.

Whether or not Ellie believed in Joel’s lie is not yet known,however we do know for certain that she seems really upset and angry. In the game’s first trailer, she reveals her intention to “Kill every last one of them,” and the 2018 trailer inter-cuts moments of intimate friendship and romance. In addition, there is also gory violence showcased which is at par with horror cinemas.This makes us believe Ellie is an an interesting place with a lot of thrills and adventures awaiting her.
