The devastating day of 9/11 had taken place today 18 years ago. The terrorist attack took place at the World Trade Centre in New York City. In 2001, in the early hours of the day, the U.S commercial airplanes were hijacked by 19 men. The two planes were crashed into the towers of the World Trade Centre twin towers and another plane was crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and the last one went down to the location near Shanksville, Pa., after passengers and crew fought back against the hijackers whose actual target was most likely either the U.S Capitol or The White House. In the three crash locations ended up with 2,977 people dead. And several lives were lost in the terrorist attacks. Apart from those people, several celebrities too almost missed their meeting with the crashes and were safe while another had chosen to work behind the scenes to help others.

Several celebrities such as Micheal Jackson, Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane, Sarah Ferguson, Rob Lowe, Steve Buscemi, and others were saved from their meeting with the grim.

Michael Jackson 

The famous and most beloved Pop star, Michael Jackson, was also going to be one of the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. He had his meeting scheduled that day in the World Trade Centre, but somehow, he overslept as he was talking to his mother the previous night and missed the meeting, consequently he was safe.

Mark Wahlberg

Actor and rapper Mark Wahlberg was supposed in the Airlines Flight 11 from Boston to New York that morning while he had been invited by his friends for a visit to Toronto and changed his plans in the last minute.

Seth MacFarlane

Apart from being a very talented actor, animator, and singer, MacFarlane also has a history of missing flights. The same had happened that day too he was already running late, and even his travel agent mistakenly told the flight time 10 minutes late, and he missed it.

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York

America’s favorite royal member, Fergie, was busy in the morning that day in a morning television show to promote the charity. She had some plans to visit the location of the World Trade Centre later on, but she was running late.
