Arison and Sohn’s departures were announced by the end of season 9’s finale. The 44-year-old actor is now about to make his Broadway debut this summer with The Kite Runner, where he will be playing Amir. He joined The Blacklist as a recurring character in season 1, and was soon promoted to series regular. He is one of the four original members of the show, including lead James Spader, Harry Lennix, Diego Klattenhoff, and Hisham Tawfiq.

In the end, his character Aram says that he has decided to take some time away from the force, and do some careful reflection. Also, he has no plans on what to do for some time, other than ride his bike, eat lots of pizza, and maybe watch a show on Broadway.

As for Sohn’s character Alina, she announces to the team that she is pregnant. After an appointment with the Bureau’s meurologist, she got news that her frequent headaches were caused by the pregnancy. There is a chance it can get worse, so the best course for her is to take a medical leave.

The Blacklist season 10 will be a different season, and we will miss these characters. However, there is always a chance that they can return. Meanwhile, expect season 10 to arrive in early 2023.
