It is confirmed that Alienist season 2 will be coming very soon on Netflix, with an exciting twist and plot. The series is based on a 1997 novel written by Carr’s Cabel named “The Angel of the darkness.”

Season 1 of the series was released in 2018, on Netflix with 10 episodes. It was a great success. All the fans are anxiously waiting for the season – 2 to be aired very soon. But the release date is still to be announced. But there is a high probability for release this year.

Season -2 will be having Daniel Bruhl as Dr. Laszla Kreizler, Luke Evans, as John Moore and Dakota Fanning as Sara Howard. Also, a probability of seeing Douglas Smith as Marcus Issacson, Matt Lintz as Stevie Taggart, and Robert Bay Wisdom as Cyrus is there. Many new faces are also expected in the upcoming season-2.
Alienist Season – 2 Plot.
Sara Howard (Fanning) is an ambitious secretary; all determined to become the city’s first female police detective. Sara Howard will become an investigator in Season 2. John Moore and Sara Howard will be investigating the kidnapping case of the daughter of a visiting Spanish dignitary. During the case investigation, they meet a mysterious woman who is linked to a notorious gang with wicked connections. Sara’s transformation from secretary to an investigator is notable. The issues like abuse of power, physical harassment, suppression of women’s voices are all discussed in season-2.
The case becomes more complicated due to the outbreak of war in Cuba and the tensions between Spain and the United States. The appearance of few more characters like Lawyer Clarence Darrow, women’s right s leader Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and painter Albert Pinkham Ryder can be seen in season-2. Let us hope that season-2 will hit the screen at the earliest.
