On Sunday, we witnessed one of the major red carpet events- the Screen Actor Guild Awards. And apart from honouring the supremely talented actors from both the film and television industry, we saw some amazing fashion moments. Among them, Ted Lasso actress Hannah Waddingham’s outfit was a definite show stealer.
The actress and the cast of the sports series could not make it to the award ceremony but the group did get together to give us a glimpse from the 5 star hotel- Claridge in London.
Nominee Waddingham was absolutely glowing in her stunning gold and bronze Dolce & Gabbana fishtail gown. But there is some interesting fact about the outfit which you probably didn’t know.
Hannah’s outfit took an insane amount of effort to make
The British actor’s gorgeous gold dress weighed around 22 pounds. But what’s most fascinating is that the dress took a massive 210 hours to make! Handmade in Milan, the dress needed 3 fittings with the help of Milan seamstresses, who were flown to London to work on the dress with Waddingham.
There are around 3000 Swarovski bead fringes in the dress along with 40,000 Miyuki beads, 10,000 Swarovski crystals and 30,000 sequins. We agree for sure that this dress is a piece of art and hence it will be stored in Milan as a part of the Dolce & Gabbana archival collection.

To bring the whole outfit together, Waddingham chose a pair of Dolce & Gabbana platform heels with a Swarovski crystal clutch. For jewellery, she went for a pair of exquisite earrings, a ring and a bracelet- all in diamond.
Meanwhile, the cast is currently present at the United Kingdom. The team is all set to start filming for Season 3 of the hit series- Ted Lasso.
