Sylvester Stallone is “moving on” from The Expendables
Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone has confirmed to quit his popular and successful film franchise “The Expendables” after it’s next and upcoming 4th part. The actor worked for 12 years with the Lionsgate action film.

On Friday Stallone posted a video on his Instagram handle to announce the news. In that video he is seen roaming around in set of “Expendable 4” on his last day of shooting. In that video Stallone called his decision to quit the show “bittersweet” as he also helps in launching of the franchise. The actor said that he is now ready to pass the baton on to his co-star Jason Statham.
Stallone added that the greatest thing is to provide films and entertainment with message in them what he tries to convey in his films. He said that action is self evident but it connects to the audience in a way that they can identify with the mission. Stallone concluded his video saying that he is getting ready to accept the next challenge.
However it is not yet clear which challenge he is referring to as he is currently connected with Rowan Athale’s science fiction movie ‘Little America’ and Julius Avery’s action drama ‘Samaritan’.
Upcoming “The Expendables 4”
Sylvester Stallone plays the leader of the group of elite mercenaries, Barney Ross in the film series. Other cast members includes Jason Statham as Lee Christmas Dolph Lundgren playing Gunner Jensen. In the upcoming film “The Expendables 4” Sylvester Stallone will reprise his role.
Fans will also witness the return of Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture in the movie. Also few new characters will be entering the film which will be played by Megan Fox, Andy Garcia etc. The film is directed by Scott Waugh while Stallone directed the first Expendables movie and wrote the first three films.
