The fourth season will have 10 episodes
HBO’s hit dramedy Succession has officially kicked of production for season 4. After all the drama and betrayal we saw in season 3, the Roys are back for more. Production has started in New York City, the background and battleground that has been part of the series since day 1. Read more about the series and what’s to come below.
About Succession
Simply put, Succession tells the story of a dysfunctional family. If we were to expand it, it tells the story of the rich and powerful Roy family, the owners of multimedia conglomerate Waystar Royco. Patriarch Logan Roy and his children are all fighting to secure their place in the company, and more often than not, resort to dirty tricks.
Succession season 4 will focus on the internal drama of the Roys once again after Waystar Royco’s sale to tech giant Lukas Matsson is in its final stages. As D-day approaches, each family member will go through an existential crises, and it is only a matter of time before the next power struggle. After all, if the sale happens, their political and cultural impact will suffer serious setbacks.
The Show’s Success
Seasons one and two of the series racked up over 23 Emmy nominations and won 9 of them, including Outstanding Drama Series for season two. It is created by Jesse Armstrong, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Frank Rich, Adam McKay, Kevin Messick, Mark Mylod, Jane Tranter, Scott Ferguson, Tony Roche, Jon Brown, Will Tracy, Lucy Pebble, and Will Ferrell.
The show stars Brian Cox, Sarah Snook, Jeremy Strong, Keran Clukin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, and Nicholas Braun.
As for the release date of Succession season 4, we can expect it to be sometime in mid to late 2023.
