Netflix renewed the popular sci-fi horror show for its fourth season and production had already started in 2019. Although there is the first teaser trailer for the fourth season, the officials have not revealed any release date for the new season.
The trailer shows the dramatic return of Hopper, this time in a Russian prison after the events the finale.
Release Date
Netflix has not revealed any official date for the release date of the show but if we have to take a guess about the possible date for the release date of the show, we can say that season 4 may arrive on Netflix on 4 October 2020.
Season 1 arrived on July 15, 2016, the second season came on October 27 2017 and the third season arrived on 4 July 2019. The production had already started but currently standstill due to the COVID 19 outbreak.
Expected plot for the season 4
The last season was 8 episodes. So season 4 might consist of the same number of episodes. The story might take place between 1986 and 1987. It will cross the Hawkins frontier for the first time. Also, we will face the relationship between the boys who have moved to another city in Byers and the evolution of Demogorgon from Hydra to humanoid, in the new episodes.
Who will be cast in the show?
There is no information revealed yet about the cast of the show but many of the major stars are expected to return.
We will see Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, and Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers.
Other actors, we will see are Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Byers, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield and Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman.
This will be interesting to see whether David Harbour could be coming back as Jim Hopper. The character was seemingly killed in the prior season finale, but it has now been rumored that he is alive.
