Soojin found guilty of School bullying
Last year, in February 2021, several bullying allegations rose against (G)I-DLE Member, Soojin was trending on internet. Many shared their bad experience to get justice while fans claimed thorough investigation. Moreover, a campaign shoot out against the South Korean singer where a bunch of school friends witnessed the bullying spoke out. Even ‘The Queen’s Classroom’ famed actress Seo Shin Ae also wrote a personal statement saying how ‘HWAA’ credited Soojin bullied her in her school days.
After listening to the controversies, in August 2021, Soojin took departure from the girl’s k-pop group ‘(G)I-DLE’. Though CUBE Entertainment tried to cover up things but police investigation took the bullying controversy to another level. Finally, on 5 March,2022, Cube Entertainment announced the termination of Soojin’s contract based on Police investigation.

CUBE Entertainment released a statement sharing the result of thorough police investigations. During the investigation, many dark sides of singer come out. In the end, they found that the people who rose their voice and commented against her never falsified the statement. They weren’t guilty rather they were the victim’s of Soojin’s ill-behaviour.
On response to the matter, CUBE Entertainment decided to break all the relation with her. Moreover, it terminated the long term collaboration with the singer on line of police’s decision. In the end of the statement, the company apologized the victims as well as the people who were affected by the controversy.
CUBE Entertainment and Soojin has long relationship since the debut 2018. The girls’ group is often considered as the most powerful and famous group. In addition, on May 2, 2018, they debuted with their first EP ‘I Am’. However, Soojin left the six-group k-pop girl band on August 14, 2021 after bullying allegations raised against her. Before, leaving the group, she attended ‘i’M THE TREND’ reality show for the last time. After her departure, the group become busy on releasing upcoming first studio album ‘I Never Die’.
