Shrill is a comedy series written and led by Aidy Bryant. It is available on the network Hulu. The second season of the series will air on 24 January 2020. It is based on the book Shrill: Notes from a Loud Woman by Lindy West.
Warner Bros., Brownstone Productions and Broadway Video are the producers of the show. Executive producers of the show include Lorne Michaels, Elizabeth Banks, Ali Rushfield, Andrew Singer, Max Handelman, Book author Lindy West and show writer and the main lead Bryant also.
It is the story of Annie Easton played by Saturday Night Live alumni, Aidy Bryant. She is an overweight woman who wants to improve the standard of her life. But society ignores her because of her weight. Annie struggles to be a journalist while dealing with her perfectionist boss, Gabe, disturbed parents, and a disastrous partner.
As briefly stated by Hulu, it will be the story of Annie going on the path of self-discovery. She will not be alone on her journey. She’ll have Fran and her mother on her side, who is also trying to figure out the meaning of life.
Bryant gave a factual performance as Annie Easton. She is best known for ‘Saturday Night Live’, earning a nomination for two Primetime Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for it.
Adefope is in the show as Annie’s best friend and roommate, Fran. She is famous for ‘Rovers’, ‘Together’, and ‘Sick Note’. She got a nomination for two Chortle Awards in 2016.
