Shelley Morison actress of ‘Will and Grace’ passed away on Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The news was announced by Morrison’s publicist Lori DeWaal, who informed the Associated Press about the sad news.
A statement released by DeWaal said that Shelley’s greatest pride as an actress was in playing the indomitable Rosario, in a comedy series that furthered the cause of social equity and fairness for LGBTQ people. The actress also took pride in portraying a strong, loving yet feisty Latina character. She believed that the best way to change hearts and minds was through comedy.
The actress was a breast and lung cancer survivor. Over the years, she has been facing lots of health issues due to which a tragedical end came to her.
According to CNN entertainment, “Morrison’s character Rosario was the no-nonsense Salvadoran maid to socialite Karen Walker, played by Megan Mullally, in the original run of “Will & Grace” on NBC from 1999 to 2006. Karen was friends with a lawyer, Will, and interior designer, Grace, who shared a New York City apartment.”
The actress suffered from heart failure from a brief illness. But she spends 50 years in her acting career, which proved to be a good thing for her life. It left a good impression in her life, especially the show ‘Will and Grace.’ That show was only from 1999 to 2006 but still, it made and left imprinted in every audience.
Morison also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for best ensemble in comedy series. Well, she really did leave good memories back for every one of us.
Not everyone can stay forever but still, she lived till this age of 83 and proved her talent. She used all of these years very well and to the best. Even though it is a goodbye, it sure us not because she left behind some really really good and lasting memories for each of her fans and audiences.
