Sex Education Season 4: Release date, Cast, Plot and more SHOCKING disclosure!!

Sex Education has finally been renewed for the fourth season

Sex Education will come back with the fourth season. The news was confirmed by Netflix in the TUDUM event. However, the third season of Sex Education was released just on the 17th of September. But of course, as the ending suggests there will be the fourth season as well.

Plot:

The whole story takes place at some fictional Moordale Secondary School in England. Meanwhile, the protagonist of the series is Otis Milburn also known as Butterfield. He is the son of prominent sex therapist Dr. Jean Milburn who is played by Gillian Anderson. Despite the obvious differences in gender and inappropriate behavior. Otis is still struggling to find peace with the fact that his mother is a sex therapist. However, later on, Otis discovers that he has a knack for doling out sex advice to his fellow friends.

Sex Education season 4 cast

Buckle up, as viewers of Sex Education are in for some serious changes when it returns! Simone Ashley, the star of Bridgerton who played Olivia on the series, has shared that she won’t be returning to the show during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning. All eyes now turn to what comes next and we can’t wait to find out more about this exciting development!

In early July, Patricia Allison disclosed her departure from the series after three seasons. She played Otis’s best friend Ola for three consecutive seasons.

Besides Ashley and Allison, Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa and Emma Mackey are also anticipated to come back. However Mackey’s and Gatwa’s involvement in the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie has been delaying production from getting underway.

The recent news of Gatwa being cast as the new Doctor Who has been thrilling. Although this may have posed some scheduling issues, it’s reported that filming for Doctor Who is set to finish shortly which will allow Gatwa to reprise his role of Eric in Sex Education. But if Netflix orders a fifth season for their show, then it could be more complicated for him to balance both projects at once.

Ncuti Gatwa has declared that the upcoming fourth season will be his last – an announcement made on February 15th, 2023.

On July 13th, news broke that Tanya Reynolds (Lily) will not be joining the cast for the upcoming season – a logical consequence of Ola’s departure.

On August 19th, we were delighted to hear that beloved Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy would be joining the cast of Sex Education for its fourth season! He is set to portray Thomas – Maeve’s tutor from the United States. We can hardly contain our excitement at this news!

Sex Education Renewed for Season 4

Sex Education season 4 summary

For those seeking inside information of Netflix’s Sex Education season 4; we’ve got it right here just for you!

As Otis and Eric take their first steps into the unknown land of Cavendish Sixth Form College, they fear facing similar exclusion as experienced at Moordale Secondary. While Otis frets over launching his clinic, Eric fervently hopes that this new venture won’t be marred by familiar alienation.

Cavendish is a revolutionary transformation for the Moordale students, who believed they were aware of everything but find themselves astounded by this new college. Daily yoga practices in their communal garden, an absolute devotion to sustainability and classmates that are celebrated based simply on their kindness – these aspects challenge all prior assumptions at Moordale!

Viv is pleasantly surprised by the college’s student-focused, collaborative atmosphere while Jackson struggles with sorrow caused by Cal. Aimee dares to take a risk and opts for an Art A Level while Adam ponders whether mainstream education will be beneficial to him. Across the ocean in America, Maeve lives at her cherished Wallace University where she has the chance of being taught by acclaimed author Thomas Molloy. Otis yearns for her presence as he adjusts to having siblings both back home and on campus!
