SEVENTEEN’s Wonwoo diagnosed with COVID
The South Korean Boy band SEVENTEEN is going through a tough time right now. The member Wonwoo tested positive for COVID-19. Along with him, Hoshi is also going to halt his activities for the time being. Due to the reason that he was in contact with Wonwoo. During the SEVENTEEN’s resting time, everybody is at their parent’s home away from Wonwoo. But Hoshi came into contact with Wonwoo.
On February 12th, PLEDIS Entertainment announced that Wonwoo was diagnosed with COVID. First, he suffered from a sore throat and mild fever. The PCR test of Wonwoo came positive.
As a precaution, Hoshi took self-test and rapid test. But Fortunately, both results are negative. In addition to that, he took a PCR test and still waiting for the result. The remaining members took tests and the result is negative also remaining members didn’t show any symptoms other than Wonwoo.
The Upcoming Activities of the band
The Band consists of 13 members. They are S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. In October 2020, Seventeen received the honour of Prime Minister’s Commendation at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards.
For the development of South Korea’s Pop culture and arts. In 2021, They are nominated for Top Social Artist in Billboard Music Awards. In September 2021, At the Newsis Hallyu Expo 2021, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism is awarded.
Due to the health condition of Wonwoo, as a precaution, Hoshi too will not be attending the activities of the group. Their recent ninth mini-album ‘Attacca’ online release is scheduled today. The PLEDI’s said that the recovery of Wonwoo is the utmost priority of them. We all wish Wonwoo a speedy recovery. They also said that they will follow the guidelines of health care authorities.
