After being married for 11 years, La La has filed for the divorce
Alani Nicole Vázquez aka La La has decided she won’t be married again. The 39-year-old actress said that her public breakup with Carmelo Anthony was very tough. She is still in recovery mode and says that she has no mind getting married now in the future. The ex-couple shares a 14-year-old son whose name is Kiyan.
She was speaking on “The Angie Martinez Show” and spoke her heart out.

La La’s commitment to not get married again
She says that she is just taking care of her son and is not worried about the future. La La has said that she will not be with someone because it is not a compulsion. Moreover, she has decided to give herself some time and not entertain people around to waste energy. The actor has also admitted that she has been used to be single again for “years” now.
La La and Carmelo Anthony relationship and marriage timeline
Their love life started when La La got engaged to Carmelo on the very special day of Christmas in 2004. Carmelo Anthony is a football player. The duo gave birth to a boy Kiyan Carmelo Anthony in March 2007. They were married by Michael Eric Dyson witnessing 320 guests at Cipriani’s in New York in July 2010. The whole ceremony was filmed b VH1, moreover, it was aired on television as part of the reality show La La’s Full Court Wedding.
However, their marriage ended in June 2021 when she filed for divorce. The couple was on and of since 2017 even after they had a son and were married.
