On February 5 Rogan took to Instagram to extend his apologies. In the video he said that people did not understand the context. But he now agrees that a white person should not say the word. He also called it the most shameful thing he ever had to talk about.
However, this reasoning did not sit well with this Oscar recipient. He said that it wasn’t about context at all. The fact that he was comfortable saying the word was shocking for him. According to Jackson Rogan released that video to keep his money.

Samuel later went on to mention Django unchained, a movie where white people used the word quite often. He compared the Rogan situation with scripts where racial slurs are the element to the story. It was utterly unacceptable to use it just for laughs, added Jackson.
