Rupert Grint Talks About the ‘Spark’ that Emma Watson and Tom Felton had During their Harry Potter Years

The couple had been rumoured to be dating but nobody officially confirmed it

Fans of the Harry Potter franchise were always eager to pair up Emma Watson and Tom Felton, who played Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy in the movies. Every time a picture of them together was posted on social media, Potterheads tend to lose their collective minds.

Enter Ron Weasley

The franchise ended in 2011, but the cast remain good friends and have often posted pictures of them together. Emma and Tom have posted pictures of them skateboarding and playing the guitar together, which really made people wonder if the two were dating, as she never posted such pictures with Daniel Radcliffe or Rupert Grint.

Now Rupert himself has given fans something to squeal about. He said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that there was a ‘spark’ between the two while they were filming the movies, and it was noticeable. But he quickly added that they were kids, and that spark was like a common playground romance.

When asked about a possible Harry Potter reunion, Grint said that while it was indeed an amazing part of their lives, they are not currently invested in doing anything of the sort, but he did say “never say never” to add some optimism to it.

Emma, meanwhile spoke about the crush she had on Felton during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show in 2012. The actress revealed that between the ages of 10 and 12, she had a ‘terrible’ crush on Felton, thanks to him being older, having a skateboard and having the whole bad guy image.

Well there you go. If the couple starts dating for real, they would be discovered in no time, so it’s safe to assume that there isn’t really anything going on right now.
