The wizarding world is back again! One more year went by without a Hogwarts acceptance letter (just kidding, we have stopped hoping already… almost). But this fall does have something special for the Potterheads.
This week on Wednesday, Pottermore and Warner Bros joined forces to create The Official Harry Potter Fan Club. And this new venture is under Wizarding world Digital, which curates all things Harry Potter since May 2019.
If you have been a registered member of J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore, from now onwards, the Wizarding World site will be your new abode. Pottermore.com will now automatically lead you to the new digital center of the Harry Potter fandom.
And not only Harry Potter, but the Wizarding World Digital will also be the center for Fantastic Beasts’ information and activities.
There is also an exciting mobile app launching to make navigation easier for smartphone users. The app is now available on both Android and iOS platforms. And the best part? It is free! You can download the Wizarding World app free of cost in the Apple Store as well as Google Play. If you already have a Wizarding Passport, you can use that to log in to the app.
But there will definitely be a paid subscription service as well. According to Wizarding World Digital, the premium members will get some special and exclusive offers and content. They will inform you about the prices of the premium plan in a few weeks.
The Wizarding World app has already launched in countries such as the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, the US, and Australia. If you are not a resident of any of these countries, do not fret! The app will quickly be rolling out to more countries in the coming days, so watch out.
And while waiting, why not check out the revamped house sorting ceremony in the Wizarding World site? It has some stunning digital illustrations, and the site itself is a magical experience.
