Reimagining a ground-breaking TV Series!
The ground-breaking British TV series “Queer as Folk” from the 90s, which aired from 1999-2000 is all set to make a comeback with a new reboot. The show follows the story of the daily lives of three gay friends in the small village of Manchester. The original series was developed by Russell T Davies, and a new reboot has been handed in by Peacock.
The series will be reimagined by creator Stephen Dunn. Dunn will write, create and execute the reboot series. The show will be reimagined in a way where the lives of the show’s characters will be set in New Orleans who are victims of the aftermath of a tragedy.
The original version of the show ran for 10 episodes and the US version of the show ran for 5 seasons between 2000 to 2005. The show brought unapologetic queer stories on the tv screens for its audience. A new reimagination of the show will be vibrant as described by Universal Content Productions. Stephen Dunn says adapting such an iconic series is an honour by calling the show ground-breaking.
