From the creators of The Incredibles and Toy Story, another major project is coming out soon. Pixar is releasing its next big animated movie – Onward. And it is already generating a lot of buzz for having not one but two avengers in its cast list! Read on to know all about the Pixar film Onward.
What Is The Plot Of The Movie?
The movie is set in a universe with wizards, witches, and magical creatures. It starts off with two brothers Barley Lightfoot and Ian Lightfoot finding out that their father was a wizard. And on the younger brother Ian’s 16th birthday, they get a message from their dad.
The deceased Mr. Lightfoot gives them a spell that can bring him back for 24 hours. But something wrong and their father’s top half is missing. And so, the duo goes on a journey to get their dad’s body fully resurrected. Along the way, they face off many magical creatures – scary unicorns, for one.
Who Is Going To Voice Whom?
The movie “Onward” stars Spiderman and Guardians of the Galaxy star Lord as the two brothers Ian Lightfoot and Barley Lightfoot, respectively. Joining them is Julia Louis-Dreyfus as their mother Laurel Lightfoot and Octavia Spencer as Manticore. John Ratzenberger will also be voicing a character in Onward but it hasn’t been revealed yet.
When Is “Onward” Getting Released?
The Pixar film is all set to premiere on March 6th, 2020.
Has The Trailer Been Released For The Movie?
Yes! The studio first released a small snippet of Onward back in May. But on the 9th, fans got a longer trailer that explains a bit more about the storyline. We also got introduced to the two protagonists- Ian Lightfoot and Barley Lightfoot. Watch the teaser here:
