Brosnan will play sorcerer Doctor Fate
Excitement is in the air surrounding DC’s Black Adam, the character’s first live-action appearance. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is bringing the Kahndaq ruler to life. Other iconic DC characters will also be making their first appearance, including Kent Nelson/ Doctor Fate, played by Pierce Brosnan.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see what the actor will bring to the Justice Society of America, and the veteran actor is equally excited.
An exhilarating role:
While speaking with Collider, Brosnan said that his experience was “exhilerating” and that he had the most magnificent time with director Jaume Collet-Serra. Collet-Serra recently directed the Dwayne Johnson-starrer Jungle Cruise.
Brosnan recalled the times he told his sons that he will play Dumbledore whenever he had his gray beard. He said he’s going gray, and to let everyone know he’s at that stage. As an older actor, there are certain roles to be played, like a wizard or sorcerer or king. The objective is to find the most interesting work, where you sometimes have choices and sometimes do not.
About his co-star Dwayne, Brosnan said that he’s at the pinnacle of his fame and fortune and success and popularity. He called him magnificent as Black Adam. He said the writing was very good, and that all you need are three good beats. Three good scenes to hand your hat and your heart on, and you have something good in your hands. He found it in both Black Adam, and his recent venture Cinderella.
