Felix Kjellberg aka ‘PewDiePie’ as the world knows him better by the latter, has announced a break from YouTube for a while.
A lot has happened since last year for PewDiePie and the Pewds. We have witnessed the heated subscriber battle between PewDiePie and its counterpart, T-Series, which eventually beat him. Felix even got married to his longtime partner, Marzia in a highly anticipated ceremony in August.
PewDiePie had already indicated in a video in December that he indeed wanted to take a break from YouTube as he felt burnt out. He has been on the video-sharing platform for a solid nine years with a staggering 4000 videos and a humongous 102 Million subscribers.
He released the last video some hours ago with the title, “It’s been real, but I’m out”. Some of the reasons for his stepping down includes YouTube’s new Harassment Policies. Many other YouTubers, too have criticized the rules and regulations as being weird and vague. He even has been criticized over a lot of his videos which were considered offensive towards some communities.
And as of now, we don’t have any news as to when he might come back. However, there is some hope as Felix has promised his fans that when he comes back he will be back ‘with 10,000′.
