‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Series Official Teaser Unveiled at D23 Expo

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is set to start streaming in 2023

The first look at the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series was shown at the D23 Expo. It is being developed as a Disney+ original and was announced in January this year.

The series is based on Rick Riordian’s popular young adult novels of the same name, which consisted of five novels and were released between 2005 and 2009. Movie adaptations came in 2010 and 2013, with Logan Lerman in the lead. They made a combined total of $425 worldwide but were not well received by most fans. With this, Disney is planning a major comeback.

About Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Percy Jackson and the Olympians will focus on Percy as a 12-year-old like the original books. He will be played by The Adam Project star Walker Scobell, and will show how he discovers that he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon and a human. After this discovery, Percy has to go and train at Camp Half-Blood, a special training reserve for demigods.

The teaser shows the series in a more ominous light, having Percy Jackson narrate that in case one were to find out that he is a demigod, he should just lie and live a normal life, instead of getting hunted by external forces, before ending it with “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
