Paramount releases the trailer of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “Terminator: Dark Fate”. See Here!

The long wait is over for the fans of the Terminator franchise as the trailer was released on Aug 29. Along with the trailer, Paramount also unveiled the first images from the upcoming sixth chapter of the saga on YouTube.

While the last production in the series, the Alan Taylor directorial “Terminator Genisys,” came out in 2015. The story picked up where the earlier chapter “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” left off, back in 1991. 

James Cameron, who directed both existing installments, is the screenwriter and producer of the newest episode. The director of “Deadpool“, Tim Miller is directing the sixth episode.

The trailer for Dark Fate shows plenty of action, conflict and things blowing up. 

THE CAST

Furthermore, an interesting addition is the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor. Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role. Together, they will help Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) in defeating a new villain out to kill her.

The new installment in the franchise will release in the US on November 1, 2019.

ABOUT THE  FRANCHISE

The first film, The Terminator was released in 1984. It was critically acclaimed and grossed $78.4 million worldwide. Various sequels soon followed after the first film.

This includes the Academy Award-winning Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003. The fourth installment, Terminator Salvation released in 2009 followed by Terminator Genisys (2015).

By 2010, the franchise had generated revenue of $3 billion.

Meanwhile, the plot deals with the battle for survival between the nearly extinct human race and the world-compassing synthetic intelligence, Skynet

Skynet is a U.S. strategic computer system by Cyberdyne Systems which becomes self-aware. Upon activation, it promptly perceives all humans as a “security threat”. Therefore, it formulates a plan to systematically wipe out humanity itself.
