“You have not seen what I have seen”
Amazon Prime Video has revealed a new, and possibly final trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The show, which is a prequel to J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendary novels will portray the Second Age of Middle-Earth, and is an official prequel to the trilogy by Peter Jackson. With the new trailer, we get a hint of the approaching doom that will soon plague Middle-Earth. Let’s take a closer look.
The Rings of Power Trailer
Fan favorite characters Elrond (Robert Aramayo) and Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) are given a closer look in the new, more ominous trailer for The Rings of Power. During the Second Age, Middle-Earth had no sun but was covered by the lights of the Trees of Valinor. We move on to see Elves living in forests, and Dwarves mining and living underground. Meanwhile, Men reside over the remaining land, tending to fields of wheat.
But peace was short-lived, as usual. The trailer then proceeds to show glimpses of the death and destruction left in the wake of the first Dark Lord, Morgoth. Morgoth had once tried to be the ruler of the world, but failed. After the last great war, he plans his second coming and now every race has to form alliances before the world is lost to them.
Additional Details
From the new trailer, we can clearly see that the makers are leaving no stone upturned to make The Rings of Power a visual spectacle. Judging by how serious they are taking the project, we can expect an equally gripping story, with familiar and new characters to root for.
Get ready for The Rings of Power to premiere on Prime Video on September 2.
