Morbius Early Fan Reactions Came out Negative, Movie Considered Disjointed and Incoherent

The movie is set to release on April 1 after numerous setbacks

The early reviews for Marvel and Sony’s Morbius are out, and things are not looking good. Morbius is set in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, along with the Venom movies. Directed by Daniel Espinosa (Life, Safe House), the movie stars Jared Leto in the lead. He is joined by Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Tyrese Gibson, Jared Harris, and Michael Keaton. Keaton is reprising his Vulture role from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Morbius Fan Reactions

The movie held a fan screening in the UK, and received a lot of negative reviews. The story was considered lackluster, the CGI was bad, with bad pacing. Sab Astley from Collider called the movie a snooze fest with visually confusing CGI and a 2005 movie plot. Others join in, and said that the movie is boring as you can expect it to be. The editing and sound mix also turned out bad. Even the post credits scene was badly executed, with Astley saying it was the worst post credit scene ever.

There is one bright spot, and it’s Matt Smith’s character Loxias Crown. However, even that role cannot be taken seriously and it’s clear that Smith was just having fun. But the awful quality makes us wonder what the makers were doing, especially when the movie got delayed so much. The bad plot can be blamed on screenwriters Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, known for the box office disasters Gods of Egypt and The Last Witch Hunter.

Final Verdict

Morbius
Sony

Morbius can still become a profit for Sony, since Spider-Man: No Way Home is still in everyone’s minds. But, it will never stop hearing criticisms, and might even make people lose interest in the Spider-Man Universe overall. It also puts the upcoming Kraven the Hunter movie lose hype. Let’s hope Sony stops putting their entire focus on Spider-Man and give their best on every movie they make.
