Minnie 2.0 to debut in Disneyland Paris
Minnie Mouse will appear in a whole avatar in Disneyland Paris’ upcoming 30th anniversary celebration. The iconic character, for the first time since it’s birth will be trading her polka dots dress for a pantsuit. Disneyland Paris announced this on Tuesday. Stella McCartney will be designing the pantsuit and it will incorporate blue trouser and a blue blazer, embellished with classic polka dots and a matching bow tie without which the look would be incomplete.
Disneyland’s official twitter account shared a little teaser of what Minnie 2.0 will look like.

The party will launch for Women’s History Month, in March. McCartney, a British designer and the daughter of Beatles’ member Paul McCartney shared her excitement with official Disney fan club.
She said she is delighted as Minnie holds a special place in her heart. In the same interview, she also said that she shares the same values as the character and loves her embodiment of happiness, her authenticity and her ability to inspire people of all ages.
This new look is a sign of progress that we have made for a new generation, she added. McCartney also explained that she wanted the new Minnie to debut at Disneyland Paris with her “responsibly sourced fabrics”.
What Else Does the Event has in Store?
Minnie will not be the only one to wear an outfit made especially for the upcoming event. Mickey Mouse will also be wearing a lavender and silver suit, as shown in a promo video for the forthcoming event.
The new Minnie Mouse look is a modern, feminist perspective on female characters and McCartney has done a beautiful job at portraying how women and girls view themselves. However, this does not mean that we won’t see the classic, unvaried Minnie. In the promo we will witness a costume change and get back into her iconic pink dress.
