Miley Cyrus’s ‘Slide Away’ lyrics talks about once upon a time when she was happy with Liam Hemsworth?

Miley Cyrus’s new song ‘Slide Away’ comes days after Liam Hemsworth’s announcement regarding the couple’s split. Liam and Miley got married last year in the month of December after an over a decade of dating. Unfortunately, their marriage did not last even for a year.

The alleged reasons for the couple’s split are Liam’s habit of partying too much. Part of the song’s lyrics also point towards this habit of Liam:
“I want my house in the hills
Don’t want the whiskey and pills
I don’t give up easily
But I don’t think I’m down,”

The song’s art cover also shows bottles of alcohol and pills floating in a pool.

A report from ‘People’ reveals that a source had said, although it is conjectured that Miley is the wild one while Liam is the chill surfer dude; actually, it is another way round. Sources also reveal that though the pair has just now announced their separation, the two have been on a break since months.

In the song, Miley also talks about moving on, and her viral kissing picture with Kaitlynn Carter quite testifies it. The 26 years old popstar sings:
“Once upon a time it was made for us, woke up one day, and it turned to dust
Baby, we were found, but now we’re lost
So it’s time to let it go.”

Miley had met Liam at the age of 16 at the set of Nicholas Sparks film ‘The Last Song’ of 2009 when Liam was 19. The couple dated for about a decade and then got married in 2018.

Liam’s public announcement came as a shock to the Miam or Liley ship fans. But the couples have decided to act more mature and move on to focus on their respective careers.
