Every year, Super Bowl ritually brings with it a myriad of exciting new trailers ranging from movie teasers to star-studded brands commercials and this year it wasn’t any different. In fact, it just all the more exciting and thrilling as Disney+ took over the entire range and impact of commercials with the release of the first footage of three upcoming MCU series.
During the much-awaited and widely-watched soccer game of 2020, Disney released Disney+ Super Bowl TV spot, featuring first-looks at all of its upcoming Marvel series on the evening of 2nd February.
The 30-seconds reel begins with a brief tease of Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as he pulls off Captain America’s shield out of a tree before tossing it away with full force.
The remaining moments of the trailer dropped a plethora of unseen footages in quick flashes from WandaVision, and culminating with a brief look at Tom Hiddleston in Loki. The footage unraveled some striking reveals from WandaVision, including a hint that flash of a pregnant Wanda.
From its launch in November 2019, Disney+ is trying to get a grip and strengthen its foothold in the market as a streaming service among other established services and originals like Star Wars ‘The Mandalorian’ have helped the digital platform to make its mark.
Disney is packed with the ‘The Mandalorian’ season 2, and a whole host of Marvel Cinematic Universe shows in progress, and now, with the arrival of Marvel Studio shows, ‘WandaVision,’ ‘Loki,’ and ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ there will be no stopping for Disney+.
Though the launch dates haven’t yet been released, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision will arrive on Disney+ later this year with a fall release decided for the former. Loki is slated to debut next year on the digital platform.
