The post-apocalyptic movie featuring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, winner of six Oscars, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ had been adjudged as the ‘Greatest Movie Of The Century’
George Miller’s 2015 movie, which beat the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring, was almost 20 years into the making and took a tedious 120 days to film. The film grossed over $500 Million in revenue globally. The movie received six Oscars and ten ACTAS in the long run.
On the movie’s grand success, director George Miller, 74, said, ‘It’s a lovely pat on the back… how do you measure the worth of a film? The best I can come up with is to ask, “How long does it follow you out of the cinema?” Veteran actors Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron play as Max Rockatansky and Imperator Furiosa respectively.
The movie, set up in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where Max Rockatansky (Hardy) and Imperator Furiosa (Theron) join together to overthrow Colonel Joe Moore (Hugh Keays-Byrne) controlling water supply to the Islanders.
Other movies that made it to the top-charts included The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Dark Knight, Inception and others.
