Lori Harvey, Steve Harvey’s Stepdaughter, Brought to Court for Hit-and-Run. Is She Going to Face Charges?

Lori Harvey, the stepdaughter of American comedian and TV presenter Steve Harvey, was arrested for a hit-and-run case on 20th October 2019. Presently she is facing charges which could supposedly land her in prison for a year.

The twenty-three-year-old is charged on the count of resisting, delaying, and obstructing a police officer and the count of a hit-and-run which resulted in damage to property. This was confirmed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. She was brought to court on 21st January.

Lori Harvey is yet to provide a comment on the matter nor any of her representatives have given a statement.

The misdemeanor occurred in Beverly Hills. The Beverly House Police Department received a report on 20th October around 10 pm. The report stated that a sedan hit a car that was parked, as stated by Entertainment Tonight. The car’s driver had left the scene before the authorities could reach. Harvey was seen by officers near the crime scene walking down the street. She was then identified as the driver, as stated by TMZ.

Harvey hit the parked car, a Prius. It was hit so hard that Harvey’s own car which was a Mercedes G-Wagon was tossed to its side, as reported by TMZ. Alcohol has not been fully ruled out of the picture but witnesses claimed that Harvey was texting on her phone while driving and hitting the other car.

Lori Harvey was arrested later. At that time she was only given a citation for her hit-and-run and for the obstruction and delaying of a police officer.

Harvey was hot in the news last year for her supposed relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs which ended. She was also linked with rapper Future and they have confirmed their relationship through their Instagram Posts.

Steve Harvey didn’t comment on his stepdaughter’s relationship.
