American superhero web television series “The Boys,” based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, is all set to return back for its second season. Till date, it is the most rated popular superhero web series and arguably an astounding series to watch in this current trend of Superhero movies being so popular.
The show is all about the titular team of vigilantes who fight back against superpowered people who abuse their abilities. Developed by Eric Kripke and being premiered on Amazon prime video, the streaming service was sure enough to hit a massive success for its second season too after the first season made its blast, and so recently it came into ears that the filming of season 2 has wrapped up after it was officially given permission at the comic con a few months ago. It’s likely expected to hit the Amazon prime by mid-2020 during the summer months.

Billy butcher, played by Karl Urban, who’s in the character of a brutal cunning fighter and the leader of the boys, confirmed the finish of filming recently in his Instagram post and has been teasing a lot even since then by clicking selfies with costars Laz Alonso and Erin Moriarty.

Eric Kripke also posted on twitter, a picture standing alongside female Hughie and Mothermilk, stained in blood, posing with their middle finger upright in emphasis.

Has The Boys season 2 official trailer been released?
The official trailer of season 2 hasn’t been released yet, but a short teaser trailer has been released on YouTube in which we can see Billy Butcher finding out his wife and her child, who’ actually the Homelander’s child. The child also seems to be born with supernatural powers too. Thus, it won’t be wrong to anticipate the awaiting season to be bloodier and scarier than before.
What can be expected from The Boys Season 2?
Producer Evan Goldberg confirmed about having more resources and scope of the show to grow with new characters adding up in the show. Though the actual comic series are way differently plotted than the way we see in the show, it’s more likely expected the characters entering would be the same as the comic series with a similar story attached to them. Also, the episode counts of season 2 are confirmed to have eight episodes. Thus, we’re excited to get surprised and astonished to see what’s coming for the second season.
