Second-time indictment against Jussie Smollett
This is the second time the actor, Jussie Smollett, is facing indictment against his on the staged attack and lying to the police. It came from the special prosecutor who was appointed to look after the case after charges against the actor were dropped last year without any action against him. The prosecutor also said that new charges against him came from four separate false reports given to the police by the actor. The actor stated in them that he was a victim of a hate crime when he knew that he was not a victim of such a crime.
Jussie’s attorney, Tina Gandhian, has not immediately responded to the charges but questioned about the decision to file new charges by Webb. She said that the indictment raises serious questions about the integrity of the investigations that led to the renewed charges.
