Bender is Back
Actor John DiMaggio will reunite with the cast of the Hulu series “Futurama”. On February 9 The streaming platform Hulu announced that DiMaggi is not officially signed yet. And this made fans quite upset. However, the latest news is very much pleasing for them. After the deal went official John thanked his fans for their love and support.
He took to Twitter to express how he feels towards his character. DiMaggio voices Bender on the show, an industrial womanizer robot. The creators show him as a liar and a borderline psychopath. But it is still a character really close to DiMaggio’s heart.
Second Return Since 1999
Hulu, on February 9 announced the reboot of the classic animated Sci-Fi sitcom. The platform will drop 20 episodes the next year.
The first ever episode of the sitcom dropped over two decades ago in 1999 on Fox. It follows Philip J. Fry, and his shenanigans. After the four years, it began airing on Cartoon Network until 2007. In 2007, it got renewed which lasted till 2009. Then Comedy Central renewed it for 26 episodes from 2010 to 2011.
DiMaggio Back With The Cast
Matt Groening and David X. Cohen are two of the brains behind the success of “Futurama”. The show did exceptionally well, securing seven Annie Awards, and six Emmy Awards throughout it’s run. Groening shared his thoughts on the reboot recently, saying that the “Futurama” team is back. Both he and Cohen then also shared their thoughts on DiMaggio, saying he is a great human being.
The whole cast will be back together. DiMaggio will join his old matesBilly West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr and David Herman. And also the animators animators of Rough Draft Studios. The production of the show is yet to begin.
