Gehraiyaan Trailer Marked Deepika Padukone OTT Debut
Prime Video has released the trailer of Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Gehraiyaan‘ which means depth, which is a relationship drama. Directed by Shakun Batra, the trailer gives a glimpse inside the film which talks about modern love that deals with its complexity.
This is the debut film of Batra as well as Deepika’s OTT debut.
Movie Plot
The film revolves around Alisha Khanna, a 30-year-old ambitious woman who stood at a crossroads in her life. Her six-year-long relationship has no meaning in her life anymore, while in her career she has seen many obstacles. When he finally started accepting the reality of his life, suddenly his cousin Tia and his fiancée Zain came into his life.
The story takes a turn, where Alisha and Zain get bonded and share their troubled past with each other, and want to confine their past. Gehraiyaan is the journey of two people who encounter ghosts from their past that they have been avoiding for too long.
Cast
Deepika Padukone plays Alisha Khanna, while Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2, will play Tia’s fiancee Zain. Young actress, Ananya Panday will be seen as Padukone’s cousin Tia.
Apart from the main character, Dhairya Karva, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor will also be seen in important roles.

In the recently released trailer on Amazon Prime, we can see Padukone playing the role of Alisha, a millennial woman stuck in a tumultuous relationship and a bad career. When everything is falling apart, his cousin and his fiancé come into his life. Things get complicated when she and Zain start having an affair behind her cousin’s back.
The film is set in Mumbai and from its trailer, we can guess that the film has everything that depicts the problem of modern love in today’s era. Gehraiyaan’s characters deal with various aspects of human emotions including jealousy, guilt, and lust.
