Aquaman star Jason Momoa created a buzz on the Internet today after a particular comment on Instagram. He publicly picked on Chris Pratt for uploading a picture where he used single-use plastic. The picture was for a promotion for Amazon fitness products. But it seems Jason had second thoughts about it several hours later about the comment he uploaded on Pratt’s post.
The 40-year-old Aquaman actor posted an apology to Guardians of the Galaxy icon on his own Instagram account. Momoa wrote, “I am sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen (sic).” Momoa uploaded a picture of himself and his two daughters posing with Pratt along with his apology.
In the apology post, Jason wrote to Chris that he and his children loved him and everything he did. He added, “I’m just very passionate about this single-use plastic epidemic. The plastic water bottles have to stop. I hope you make a reusable water bottle for Amazon so we can all purchase. You’re an inspiration to many, I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s.”
Momoa came up with this brand Mananalu which packages water in 100 percent recycled aluminum cans. The motto of this brand is to cut down the use of single-use plastic drinking bottles. Pratt usually shares images of his workouts on his social media to promote different products on Amazon to purchase.
In the recent post, the actor showed his bulging biceps, wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts. He held a plastic water bottle in his hand. And in that post, Jason commented, “Bro I love you but wtf on the water bottle. No single-use plastic. Come on.” And one comment of his broke the Internet.
Momoa launched his line of canned water in early 2019. In a promotional video, Jason explained, “I just want to do this to bring awareness because plastics are killing our planet and I think we have a solution.” All the aluminum Momoa used in his life is recycled to make these cans. People can buy these cans and use them for around 60 days. After that, they can give them back and the company will recycle these again.
