It’s a Moment of Joy as Netflix Renews “Sex Education” for Season 3

Netflix revealed on its UK Twitter account that Sex Education is coming back for season three. The critically acclaimed series tells the story of Otis Milburn, a socially awkward teenager, and his mother Dr. Jean Milburn, a sex therapist. Otis feels himself to be an expert on sex and all the things related to it because of his mother’s occupation. After one particular incident where he calms down his bully who was having sexual performance anxiety, Otis with his classmate Maeve sets up a sex-therapy clinic to help his fellow high school students in their sexual problems.

What happened in season 2?

In the second season, Otis gets into his first romantic relationship with Ola. It is revealed then that Ola’s father Jakob is having a sexual relationship with Otis’s mother. This makes his first relationship very difficult. Eric and Adam have a sexual encounter. All this came in the whirlwind of season two.

The show is praised for its gritty depictions of taboo topics and that is why it is popular among the viewers. The announcement of season three made a lot of fans excited. The clip shows Principal Groff talking about the various characters and their lives, particularly about the “cherubs” Adam and Eric.

When is it coming?

No release date has been announced yet. Fans may have to wait over a year for the third season. As the first two seasons were received very well Netflix may reveal details in some time. It is expected that the season will contain eight episodes and will be released in January of 2021.
